J. Carole Richards, 77, of San Juan Manor, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away November 23, 2013 at her home. There will be no visitation, cremation will take place. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 3:00 PM, Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve W. Goings, officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. J. Carole Richards was born November 29, 1935 in Wichita, Kansas to Ralph Clifford and Clara Mariena (Musick) Brannan. She loved her family and loved being a mom. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Richards in July 1999; son, Michael Raymond Richards; parents, Ralph and Clara Brannan and brother, Kenneth. Survivors are three daughters: Mariena Richards and husband, Jeff Oliver of Denver, CO, Cindy Goings and husband, Steve of Carlsbad, NM, Vicky Lewis and husband, Ernest of Roswell, NM; grandchildren: Joyce Goins and husband, Ryan and Nathan Goings and wife, Kendra all of Carlsbad, NM; great-grandchildren; siblings: Larry Brannan and wife, Cherie of North Carolina, Joyce Berryman and husband, Bud of West Virginia, Carl Brannan and wife, Nita of Carlsbad, NM, David Brannan and wife, Hazel of Carlsbad, NM and numerous nieces and nephews.
