Inez P. Hodges

Inez P. Hodges, 97, of Tucson, Arizona and formerly of Carlsbad, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012 in Tucson. Visitation will be Thursday, June 28, 2012, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, June 29, 2012, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Dale McCasland of Duncan, Oklahoma, officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Inez Hodges was born September 3, 1914 to Frank and Etta (Northcutt) Standley. Inez was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Ernest P. Hodges; her parents and two sisters: Faye Simons and Virginia Warren. Mrs. Hodges was a long-time resident of Carlsbad. In 1968, she moved to Alamogordo, where she lived 29 years before moving to Tucson, AZ. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene while living in Carlsbad. Survivors include her 3 children; sons, Paul Hodges (Edna) of Carlsbad, John Hodges (Carolyn) of Madison, Tenn, daughter, Sharon Perry (Carl) of Tucson, Ariz., 10 Grandchildren , 28 great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren and sister, Loine Elder.
