Imogene Rule, 91, of Mescalero Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015 at University Medical Center, Lubbock, Texas.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Denton-Wood Fuenral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, April 29, 2015, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ken Engledow officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park, Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Imogene Rule was born March 12, 1924 to George Franklin and Nora Jane (Amos) Scull. She went to school in Kaiser, Arkansas. On her 18th birthday, Imogene married Elgin E. Tolar. They had four children and raised them in Carlsbad. Imogene later married Carl Allen Rule. She worked as a pastry cook at Blounts Restaurant for several years. Imogene was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and reading. She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Imogene was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Elgin E. Tolar and Carl Allen Rule; son, Travis Tolar; daughter, Patsy Jean Tolar East; 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
Survivors are her son, Loyd Tolar and wife, Phyllis of Caweta, Oklahoma; daughter, Vicki Hayes and husband, Rick of Carlsbad, NM; step-daughters: Peggy Heney of San Mateo, California, Judy Byrnes of Asbury, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and sisters: Nora Faye Pitts and husband, R.J. of Marked Tree, Arkansas, Norma Jo Day and husband, Claude of Marked Tree, Arkansas.
