Henry U. Castaeda Sr. left to meet our dear Lord in heaven on Saturday, November 25, 2017. He was born on April 13, 1942 to Pedro and Augustina Castaeda in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Henry met the love of his life, Cecilia Trevino and they eloped on November 12, 1960, but they soon married in December. Together they had five children. Henry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Hector and Tony Castaeda. He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Castaeda; children: Cathy Safford, Debby Castaeda, Henry Castaeda, Jr. and wife, Kathy, Freddie Castaeda and fianc Camille, Greg Castaeda and wife, Vanessa, and Christopher Castaeda and wife, Alice; his grandchildren: Melinda Pacheco and husband, Tony, Rory Castaeda and wife, Jacqueline, Katie Jo Castaeda and Jimmie Stewart, Ashley Ramirez and husband, John, Henry Jacob, Frederick, Santino, Geonni, Taylor, Ty, Trey, Breonna, Elijah, Damon, Christopher and Nathanial Castaeda; great-grandchildren: Zeke, Alana, Damara, Solara, Roenin, Brody, Trace and Isabelle; siblings: Ernesto Castaeda, Albert Castaeda, Ralph Castaeda, Connie Hurles, Pete Castaeda, Jr., Richard Castaeda and Laura Burke and numerous nieces and nephews. Henry worked for the City of Carlsbad as a welder and retired as supervisor after 26 years of service. He served in numerous leadership roles through the years. Henry was a man of pride, strong values, and hard working ethics. He had a great, addicting personality. Henry loved the Lord and cherished his family. His friends and family loved to visit with him and always enjoyed his great sense of humor. Henrys family certainly appreciates all the prayers through this difficult time.
