Helen Marie McBee, 78, passed away July 11, 2024 in Carlsbad, NM. Visitation will be 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM, Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Monday, July 15, 2024 at Hillcrest Baptist Church - Fellowship Room with Pastor Sam Plumlee officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park, Carlsbad, NM.

Helen was born September 11, 1945 in Carlsbad, NM, to Edgar and Willie Mae (Williams) Boyd. She married Bennie Terrell McBee December 10, 1961 at the age of sixteen. Helen was a faithful Christian and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She worked with Terrell at McBee Auto Body Shop taking care of the bookkeeping and anything else needed around shop for many years. Helen enjoyed floral designing, gardening and was known for the blue bonnets she would raise each year. She was a long-time member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and served in the nursery department. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Melvin, Alton, Edith, Truman, Donal, Louise, and Garry. 

Survivors are her husband, Terrell McBee; daughters: Roxanne Abshire and husband, Randy, Rebecca Medley and husband, John; son, Richard McBee and wife, Jenny; seven grandchildren: Chace Walls and wife, Tara, Rachele Cabezuela, Chris Walls and wife, Saren, Britney Vickrey, Chelsea Britain and husband, Dustin, Rance McBee, Melody McBee; seven great-grandchildren: Addison, Nathan, Lucas, Penelope, Symphany, Avanni, and Copper; sisters: Wanda Galloway, Doris Harrison and husband, Terry, and Ilene Jennings.
