Helen Louise Bowman

Helen Louise Bowman, 87, of Ferndale Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away October 22, 2010 at her home. Graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 26, 2010, 10:30 AM, at Carlsbad Cemetery new section with Chaplain Larry Krueger officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Helen Louise Bowman was born August 10, 1923 to J. T. Goad and Helen Mae Latham. She moved to Carlsbad in 1942 with her family. Louise met Jack, who was a flight instructor at the airbase. They married June 5, 1945 in Paul's Valley, Oklahoma. Louise always enjoyed being with her family, especially her many nieces and nephews. She loved gardening. Louse is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack Bowman and brother John Goad Helen is survived by a sister; LaVerne Gerrells and husband, Collin of Carlsbad, NM; brothers: Joe Goad of Lorena, Texas, and Marion "Shorty" Goad, of Mineola, TX; Sister-in-law Joye Goad of Carlsbad, NM; numerous neices and nephews and special caregivers.
