Obituary Hector Sotelo Olivas, 63, of Russell Street Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, April 28, 2020. Hector was born on June 25, 1956 in Ojinaga Chihuahua, Mexico to Nerio and Cruz Olivas. Private services were held at Carlsbad Cemetery Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Hector was a happy and caring person, who was always willing to help those around him. He was a hard worker, and loved his work at Constructor, Inc. Hector had lots of friends and family members that loved him dearly, who will never forget him. Hector was preceded in death by his father, Nerio Ramos Olivas; and mother, Cruz Sotelo Olivas. Hector is survived by his loving wife Vicky Olivas of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Mary Helen Olivas of Carlsbad, NM; daughter Cynthia Galindo and husband, Gamaliel of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Janet Galindo, and husband, Isaac of Carlsbad, NM; son, Emmanuel Olivas of Carlsbad, NM; son, Josue Olivas of Carlsbad, NM; Isaiah Olivas of Carlsbad, NM; son, Nathaniel Olivas of Carlsbad, NM; thirteen grandchildren; eight siblings: Adolfo Olivas Sr., Leonor Fuentes, Juan Olivas, Yolanda Duenez, Mario Olivas, Ralph Olivas, Robert Olivas, and Marisela Arredondo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
