Harvey enjoyed life, he loved race cars making people laugh. There wasn’t to many times you didn’t see a smile on his face it was contagious, and everyone loved those dimples. He was a long-time employee of Forrest Tire in Carlsbad, New Mexico and his current employer was Big O, he loved being in the tire business and if you knew this family you knew why. They always needed tire repairs while spending time at the racetrack doing what they love. Harvey started racing at the age of sixteen Harvey, his dad and brother were always in the garage getting ready for the next race. They called him Wallbanger Jr. he and his father got that name due to their driving habits, Harvey’s his favorite quote was the “checker or the wrecker”.  When Harvey hung up his racing duties that’s when he became the new crew chief for his nephew Gabe Jr, he was his hype man during the races and got him ready. He loved spending time with his family not as much as mommas cooking, but the memoires, laughs and the stories were endless when they gathered at his parent’s house. Harvey was an extremely proud dad and papa; he loved of his girls, his boys and those two beautiful granddaughters. His best memories were also spent at the lake with his children and family. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.

“Although we cannot see you, your hands we cannot touch, your smile is never forgotten, you are loved so very much, goodbyes are not forever, they just simply mean we will see you always, until we meet again”

Direct cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at a later day. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers the family greatly appreciates it.
