Graciano "Chano" Salcido, 67, of West Cedar Street, Loving, NM, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012. Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Vigil is scheduled for Wednesday, September 5, 2012, 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Loving, NM. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, September 6, 2012, 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Loving, NM with Fr. Cyprian Uline, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Graciano "Chano" Salcido was born December 18, 1944 in Mulato, Chihuahua, Mexico to Melquiadez and Aurora (Ramirez) Salcido. He moved to Loving as a young man, Chano worked in farming for many years and was with Skeen Farms the past 22 years. He enjoyed playing cards and working on his pick-up. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Manuel Salcido; sisters: Socorro Peralta and Guadalupe Salcido. Survivors are three brothers: Filomeno Salcido and wife, Dominga of Andrews, TX, Ventura Salcido of Loving, NM, Jorge Luis Salcido of Andrews, TX; sister, Delia Salcido of Loving, NM and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be Carlos Salcido, Pedro Martinez, Lupe Salcido, Rogelio Salcido, Donnie Ortiz and Eddie Sanchez. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
