Grace Hayes

Grace Hayes, 89, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Lakeview Christian Home in Carlsbad, NM. Per her request there was a Funeral service at Ypapanti (Presentation of Christ) Greek Orthodox Church in East Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and she was laid to rest at the William Penn Memorial Cemetery in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Grace Hayes was born September 5, 1925 in Forest Hills, Pennsylvania to Otto and Ida (Scherz) Heer. She was an active member in various church, civic and social organizations throughout her lifetime. Grace enjoyed cooking, baking, dancing, reading, movies and music. Her most recent passion was looking after the family's maltipoo, Vinny. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Sam Angelis and Patrick Hayes; beloved son, Charles "Theo" Angelis. Grace is survived by her loving family; John Angelis and wife Sherri, grandson Johnny Angelis and wife Melissa and great grandchildren Sawyer and Thea Angelis. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her recent illness.
