Goldie M. Hatfield

Goldie M. Hatfield, 73, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at her home. Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, December 3, 2012, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Milner officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Goldie M. Hatfield was born August 20, 1939 in Williamson, West Virginia to Roy and Bertha (Ooten) Mahon. She was a loving mother of two sons and wife of 58 years to Haven Hatfield. Goldie was very active in the church being a member of the Flagstaff Church of Christ in Arizona and Southside Church of Christ in Carlsbad, NM. Her life was about family, art and helping others not only through the church but through her career dedicated to medical products at W. L. Gore in Flagstaff, Arizona. Goldie's final journey home will be marked in the memories of so many friends and loved ones she touched in her life. She was preceded in death by her son, Reno Hatfield; sister, Elsie Harmon; brother-in-law, Elmer Harmon and parents Bertha and Roy. She is survived by her husband, Haven E. Hatfield; son, Rex Hatfield; two sisters: Beatrice, Jane; two grandchildren: Tessa and Jeff Hatfield; nieces: Donna Davis, Jan Terpening; great nieces: Sara Ward; great-nephews: Chris Prater, Shawn Judah and Cody Terpening. Pallbearers are Lynn Terpening, Mark Davis, Chris Prater, Shawn Judah, Justin Ortega and Jeff Hatfield.
