Goldie Bradshaw

Goldie Bradshaw, 86, of Crabb Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025 at her home. Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Friday, March 28, 2025 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Carlsbad Cemetery with Bishop Eddie R. Bradshaw and Dalton R. Bradshaw officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Goldie was born June 20, 1938, in Elida, NM to Joe H. and Mayme Leona (Davis) Aschbacher. She graduated high school in 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Goldie celebrated her 18th birthday and four days later married Ray Bradshaw in Elida, NM on June 24, 1956. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed preparing wonderful meals for her family. Ray and Goldie managed the Alpine Courts in Carlsbad which was owned by her father. She was an exemplary minister’s wife by her husband’s side for over 50 years. Goldie was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy for over 70 years and served in many capacities including local clerk/treasurer, youth director, Sunday School teacher, women’s ministries, church pianist and State Treasurer. She played the piano, guitar, sang and taught her children how to sing. Goldie devoted her time to ensure that her family, including the children in her care, were always left with a feeling of satisfaction and love. She was GG to some and Granny to many but truly loved by all. Goldie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Bradshaw; daughter, Caroline Bradshaw; brother, Joe Henry Aschbacher and son-in-law, Jim Estrada.

Survivors are her daughter, Pearlene Estrada; son, Eddie R. Bradshaw and wife, Betsy; grandchildren: Brittany Roberts and husband, Justin, Courtney Johnson and husband, Kolby, Dalton R. Bradshaw and wife, Rachel; extended family: Amanda Milliken and husband, Jarred and their children: Breckon, Carlin, and Suttyn, Jacob Laird and wife, Sara and their children: Makayla, Katie, and Cooper; great-grandchildren: Trinity Johnson, Malik Johnson, Adalynn Roberts, Olivia Roberts, Jacie Estrada, several sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Eddie R. Bradshaw, Dalton R. Bradshaw, Jacob Laird, Kolby Johnson, Justin Roberts, and Malik Johnson.
