Gina Moreno

Obituary Virginia Gina Galindo Moreno, 52, of Del Rio Street passed away on June 8, 2019, at her home. She was born on December 23, 1966, to Ben and Eva Moreno in Carlsbad, NM. Gina lived life to the fullest, and made sure those around her felt loved and cared for. She was an amazing cook, and never missed an opportunity to invited everyone over to eat. She also loved listening to music, especial the Oldies and Spanish favorites. Gina was a proud grandma and loved spending quality time with her friends and family. She will be missed and remembered always. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eva Galindo Moreno. Gina is survived by her husband, Cruz Melendrez, Jr. of Carlsbad, NM; son, Cruz Melendrez, III of Carlsbad, NM; son, Christopher Melendrez of Carlsbad, NM; granddaughter, Sariyah Melendrez of Carlsbad, NM; and grandson, Cruzito Melendrez, IV of Carlsbad, NM. There will be a visitation on Sunday, June 16, 2019, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, June 17, 2019, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Boyd officiating. Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
