Gilberto C. Carrasco

Gilbert C. Carrasco, 50, of South Ash Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, October 8, 2010 in Carlsbad. Visitation will be 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 13, 2010, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Roosevelt Armendariz officiating. Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Gilbert C. Carrasco was born January 6, 1960 in Carlsbad, NM to Nicholas and Elvira (Castillo) Carrasco. He attended school here in Carlsbad. Gilbert was a very giving and caring person. He is preceded in death by brothers Roque Carrasco and Luis Carrasco. Survivors are his children: Jason Carrasco, Amy Garcia, Justin Carrasco, Gilbert Carrasco, Jr., Jay Carrasco all of Carlsbad, NM; five grandchildren; parents: Nicholas and Elvira Carrasco of Carlsbad, NM; brothers: Robert Carrasco and wife, Mary, Fred Carrasco, Benny Carrasco, Nick Carrasco and wife, Misty; sisters: Frances Galindo and husband, Gilbert, Gloria Calderon, Dora Howell and husband, Tom; and numerous nieces and nephews.
