Gilbert "Mead Bic" Rodriguez, 64, of S. 6th Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away December 30, 2013 at his home.
There will be no visitation cremation has taken place.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 4, 2014, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Tory Smith presiding.
Interment will follow in Santa Catarina Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Gilbert "Mead Bic" Rodriguez was born May 29, 1949 in Carlsbad, NM to Calletano A. and Nellie (Dominquez) Rodriguez. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. Mead also enjoyed bingo, cards and fishing. He never turned down the opportunity to be with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Dora Rodriguez, Enedina Miles, Virginia Matta; two brothers: Calletano Rodriguez, Jr., Thomas Rodriguez and Mary Chavez.
Survivors are sisters: Marylou Torres and husband, Lupe, Santos Salcido and husband, Ben, Lilly Cordova and husband, Augustino, Helen Dominquez; brothers: Frank Dominquez, Raul Rodriquez and wife, Jeannie; step-children: Anthony Sillas, Irene Canales and husband, Lupe, Lorina Ramos and husband, Rick, Corine Chavez, Lisa Vargas and husband, Emilio; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
