Geraldine "Gerri" A. Stinson

Geraldine "Gerri" A. Stinson, 75, of N. 9th Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Visitation will be Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Funeral Service is scheduled for Saturday, February 6, 2016, 11:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. The family will be having a reception after the service at 410 San Juan Manor Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Geraldine "Gerri" A. Stinson was born August 14, 1940 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Rufus and Madaline (Johnson) Hayes. She was born and raised in Carlsbad. Geraldine worked and retired from Ann's Hallmark where she was a sales associate and became manager in 1992. Prior to working for Ann's Hallmark, she worked for Odorless Cleaners for 24 years. Geraldine was preceded in death by her son, Russell Stinson. Survivors are her fiance, Terry P. Thompson of Carlsbad, NM; daughter: Carol Stinson of San Angelo, TX; sisters: Loretta Tyrrell of Carlsbad, NM and Doris Kidd of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren: Sarah Calderon of San Angelo, TX and three other grandchildren.
