Obituary George Simpson, 83, of Hidalgo Road, Carlsbad, NM, passed away March 10, 2019 at his home. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 PM 7:00 PM, Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, March 15, 2019 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David W. Rogers officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. George was born February 18, 1936 in Niles, Michigan to James and Fannie (Shannon) Simpson. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Richard Simpson. Survivors are his wife, Helen Simpson; children: George Simpson, Jr., Douglas Simpson, Laura Simpson, Peggy Simpson, Gina Simpson Myers, Debbie Gragg, Diane Henry, Teri Davis, Karen Cranmer, Barbara Simpson and Berry Simpson; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
