George D. Waller, 91, of Dallas, TX, passed away November 30, 2022, at his home, Highland Springs Senior Living Community in Dallas.

George was born November 10, 1931, in Moberly, MO, to J. T. and Elsie Mae (Schaffer) Waller. His formative years were spent in St. Louis MO, Burlington IA, Leonard MO, Carlsbad N.M. and Macon MO. His senior year in school started in Carlsbad, N.M. and he graduated from Macon High School in Macon, MO class of 1949.

George married Judith Ann Wise, of the Hagers Grove community MO, on Feb. 3, 1951. They lived over and ran the Silver Dome gas station in Macon, MO. In August 1951, they moved to Carlsbad, N.M. where they welcomed two children (Kent and Dona). Judy passed away March 15, 1986.

George married Ruby Jean Thompson Buhalts on April 24, 1987, and she proceeded him in death on November 26, 2022. They had lived in Little Elm, TX since 2013 until moving to Highland Springs in April.

George worked in the potash mines for many years until opening his own automotive repair shop in 1962 (Waller Automotive). Later he went to work for Bales Equipment Corporation selling International Scouts and then at National Mine Service.

George’s hobbies included waterskiing on the Pecos River, drag racing with friends, especially with Cliff Howard, his dear friend. Other hobbies included photography, his cars, motorcycle riding, NASCAR and RVing.

He was a member of the New Mexico Mounted Patrol, Carlsbad Elks Club 1558, he was a charter member of the Dirt Dobber Auto Club of Carlsbad (1952), Kiwanis Club, charter member of the Goldwing Road Riders Association.

George especially loved spending time with family and friends. He also loved all the pets (fur babies) he owned throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J. T. Waller and Elsie Turner, Brother James Gaile “Tex” Waller, great nephew, Nicholas Sandner.

He is survived by his son, Kent (Carol) Waller of Carlsbad, NM, his daughter, Dona (Mike) Crutcher of Shelbyville, MO. Three grandsons, Jason and Bryan (Audra) Waller of Rio Rancho, NM and John (Andrea) Crutcher of Kansas City, MO and one granddaughter TeAna (Matt) Tramel of Inola, OK, five great grandsons and four great granddaughters, one great-great grandson. He is survived by two brothers, Jim and Dennis Waller of Fulton, MO, three sisters Jewell Allen and Kay Waller of Lincoln, NB and Lois Turner, of Clarence, MO, sisters-in-laws Teresa Knowles of Macon, MO and Betty Wise of Shelbina, MO, nieces, nephews and cousins. Also survived by Ruby’s family especially Jennifer and Perry Villalpando.
