George Alt

George Alt, 78, of Carlsbad, NM passed away November 27, 2021. Cremation will take place.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, December 3rd at 1:00 pm at Paradise Chapel, 74 Pueblo Rd. Carlsbad, NM.

George Alt was born September 20, 1943 to Ruby and George Alt in Morgantown, West Virginia. He later enlisted in the US Navy and then settled in Carlsbad where he lived most of his life. George had the biggest heart and would give anything to make someone happy. His love for all things John Wayne was indescribable. He loved to sing, especially old country songs and church hymns and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles to pass time. George will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

George is survived by his two brothers, Ron and Buck, of West Virginia, son , Michael Alt and wife, Cristal, daughter, Denene Schwertner and husband, Danny, daughter, Brandy Meeker, and husband, David, fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
