Genevieve Davis Pewitt

Genevieve Davis Pewitt, 85, of Los Nogales Drive, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 at her home. There will be no visitation. A graveside service is scheduled for Monday, March 2, 2015, 2:00 PM, at Carlsbad Cemetery (old section) with Chaplain Andy Harris officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Genevieve Davis Pewitt was born January 28, 1930 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Lee J. and Eulah (Guilliams) Davis, Sr. She grew up in Weed, NM and moved to Carlsbad as a young girl. Genevieve loved her many animals and was a wonderful cook. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John Viera. Survivors are her husband, George Pewitt of Carlsbad, NM; son, Daniel Gray; brother, Lee J. Davis, Jr. and wife, June of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
