Gary L. Moseley, 69, of S. Lake Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away September 9, 2010 at Lakeview Christian Home. Memorial services are scheduled for Monday, September 13, 2010, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Terry McKean officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Gary L. Moseley was born February 15, 1941 in Rock Island, Illinois to Edwin Lyle and Kathryn Marie (McNeal) Moseley. He graduated from high school in Rock Island. Gary served his country in the US Army. He worked for John Deere for many years as a commercial artist. Gary continued in the commercial art field until retiring and moving to Carlsbad in 2004. He was perusing his passion for his love of the old western culture where he drew anything from "barns and trees and stuff" to hotrod and portraits. Gary's great accomplishment was displaying his art work in the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City earlier this year. Survivors are his daughter, Lisa Zewe and husband, Dave of Hesperia, CA; son, Christopher Moseley and wife, Jana of Calmus, IA; grandchildren: Mark Moseley, Nicholas Zewe, Samantha Zewe; great-grandchildren Makayla Faith Gordon, Sonya Ilene Zewe; brother, Bernie Moseley; sisters Diane Van Acker, and Debbie Kean; and several nieces and nephews.
