Obituary Gary C. York, 78, of Pinon Lane, Carlsbad, NM, passed away January 5, 2021 at his home. Gary was born on April 29, 1942, to Elmer York and Bertha Masterson at St. Francis Hospital in Carlsbad, NM. Visitation will be 3 PM 6 PM, Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation is limited to 5 people in the chapel at a time and facial coverings are required. Services will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Calvary Assembly of God Church with Pastor Phillip Price officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery. He loved arrowhead hunting, golfing, walking his dogs, hunting, keeping his yard in pristine condition and much more. He loved his Cowboys and his Texas Rangers. He loved his family unconditionally. He would drop whatever he was doing to help anybody out. Gary went into the Army in 1963 and was honorably discharged in 1969. After the Army, Gary spent most of his working career working at Intrepid Potash. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Shirley K. York. Survivors are his sons: Dennis York and wife, Katie, Keith York; grandchildren: Lindsey Enloe, Ashley Bell, Gavin York, Matthew Enloe, Samantha Gregory and husband, Mason, Jamison Call and Dylan Call; great-grandchildren: Brayden, Nathan, Zach, Deven, Jaylyn, Ethan, Madilyn, Nile and Tiara; sister, Shirley Goff; brother, Larry Don York and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Dennis York, Keith York, Matthew Enloe, Gavin York, Mason Gregory, Chunky Click, John Conner and Deven York. Honorary pallbearers are Brayden Enloe, Nathan Gonzalez, Zach Bell, Jaylyn Bell, Ethan Bell, Madilyn Gregory, Nile Gregory and Tiara Enloe.
