G. Wallace Rowley, 88, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, February 20, 2016, 2:00 PM, at Bluewater Pioneer Cemetery, Bluewater, New Mexico.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home, 1001 N. Canal Street, Carlsbad, NM, is in charge of the arrangements.
G. Wallace Rowley was born May 19, 1927 in Bluewater, NM to George and Helen (Harding) Rowley, where he lived his entire life. He graduated from Grants Union High School in 1945. Wallace married Dorothy V. Goolsby October 21, 1949. He was a farmer, mechanic, electrician, fire chief, fisherman and hunter. Wallace had a heart of gold and continually volunteered countless hours throughout his life for numerous organizations. He had a love for children and children had a love for him. Wallace was a lifelong member of the Bluewater LDS Ward. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dot Rowley; brother, Cecil Rowley and sister, Ilene Gibson.
Survivors are his son, George W. Rowley and wife, Lilia of Tucson, Arizona; daughter, Carolyn Reese and husband, Travis of Carlsbad, New Mexico; grandchildren: Cheryl Brown and husband, Philip, Annette Peacock and husband, Trent, Gene Rowley and wife, April, Kyle Reese and wife, Jen; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters: Pauline Dolezal and husband, Wayne, Louise Eby and husband, Rex, Dorothy Lambson; brother, Ted Rowley and wife, Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews.
