Freida Lenore Birrer, 94, of West Walterscheid Drive, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Landsun Homes.
There will be no visitation, cremation will take place. No public services will be held.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Freida Lenore Birrer was born August 29, 1917 in Harvey, North Dakota to Edward and Eva (Bender) Patzer. She moved with her family to Hamilton, Montana when she was 17 years old, where she continued to live until 2007. Freida married Clarus Birrer on December 27, 1947 in Missoula, Montana. Freida enjoyed dancing, doing word search puzzles, playing cards, as well as playing games with her grandchildren.
Freida lived at Landsun Homes in Carlsbad, NM for over three years and the people there made her remaining years happy and comfortable. She will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarus in 1971; brothers Lloyd Patzer, George Patzer, Edwin Patzer, and Edward Patzer; sisters Leona Torres, Lorena Wood, and Martha Beckman.
Survivors are two daughters: Glenda Pellow and husband, Don of Hermiston, OR and Cheryl Patterson and husband, Russ of Carlsbad, NM; four grandchildren: Kevin Leonard and wife, Kelli of Mountain Home, Idaho; Christopher Patterson and wife, Emily of Las Vegas, NV; Tiffany Sewell and husband, Chuck of Fort Collins, CO; and Jeffrey Patterson of Carlsbad, NM; two great-grandchildren: Elijah Patterson of Las Vegas, NV and Alyssa Sewell of Fort Collins, CO; sister, Edna Garner of Ogden, UT and numerous nieces and nephews.
