Obituary Freddie Boston, 73, of Mescalero Rd., Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 at his home. Visitation will be 5:00 PM 7:00 PM, Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gabriel Herrera officiating.Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM with the Carlsbad Veteran Honor Guard providing military honors. Freddie Boston was born November 14, 1946 in Thermopolis, Wyoming to Billy Jaye Boston, Sr. and Edith Marie(Semple) Bostongrowing up inCalifornia and Colorado, graduating from high school in Denver. He served his country in the US Armyduring Vietnam. Freddie married Pamela Slusher July 14, 1977 in Carlsbad, NM. He was a contract miner living in several states before returning to Carlsbad. In more recent years, Freddie worked as a truck driver. He was an avid John Wayne fan and never missed agood ole western movie. Freddie loved classic country and lived his life taking care of his family. Freddie was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Edward Spike Boston, Billy Jaye Boston, Jr.;sister: Thelma Gaye Willis.
