Fred F. Voisine

Obituary Fred Voisine, age 86 years, passed away April 12, 2018 at Good Life Center. Fred was born in Bay City, Michigan on April 16, 1931 to Floyd and Margaret (Edgette) Voisine. Fred grew up in Bay City then joined the Army and served in the Korean War. In 1954, he married Margaret Peggy Williams of Haverill, Massachusetts. They settled in Bay City, Michigan where they lived for 30 years. In 1986 they moved to Orla, Texas and then eventually to Carlsbad to be near their grandchildren. Fred worked in the construction business and in politics while he lived in Michigan. He served as a Bay City Commissioner where he was involved in improvements to public works. After moving to the Southwestern United States, he worked in management in the oil industry, until he retired. He is proceeded in death by his parents, wife Peggy, brother Ronald, and sister Sue Campbell. He is survived by his children Marjorie (Steve) McKinney of Carlsbad, NM; John Voisine of Carlsbad, NM; Patrick (Janet) Voisine of Huntington Woods, MI; Teresa (Michael) Wilkerson of Benton, IL; and Lisa (William) Ketzeback of Cloudcroft, NM; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church with Fr. Pasala Hruday Kumar officiating. Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
