Frank C. Fresquez "Peabody", 57, of Seneca Lane, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 at his home. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 19, 2011 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home and will continue from 6:00 PM to Vigil at San Jose Catholic Church, 1002 De Baca, Carlsbad, NM. A Vigil is scheduled for Wednesday, October 19, 2011, 7:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, October 20, 2011, 10:00 AM, at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Frank C. Fresquez "Peabody" was born January 4, 1954 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Clorinda Fresquez. He attended Carlsbad schools. Following his high school years he moved to Albuquerque, where he worked designing murals. Peabody was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He loved to visit the casinos and enjoyed playing Texas Hold'em. Peabody was very fond of his best buddy, his dog, Chance. Family was very important and he loved and appreciated every one of them and love was returned toward him. He was preceded in death by his mother. Survivors are one son, Santiago Sequra Fresquez of Albuquerque, NM; three brothers: Belson Fresquez and wife, Mary of Salida, California, Joe Perez and wife, Sandra of Bardstown, Kentucky, Augustus Fresquez of Carlsbad, New Mexico; two sisters: Carolyn Stockwell and husband, Rob of Alpine, TX, Emma Garcia and husband, Robert of Carlsbad, New Mexico; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and best friends: Bert and Shirley Mata, Sr., Bert Ray Mata and Joseph "J. J." Mata all of Albuquerque, NM. Pallbearers will be Joe F. Perez, Bert Ray Mata, Joseph "J. J." Mata, Sam Martinez, John Paul Armendarez and Robert Garcia.
