Obituary Francisca Ramirez, 79, of Ironwood, passed away October 10, 2019 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born September 17, 1940 in Pecos, Texas to Francisco and Rosa (Ramos) Franco. She attended school in Pecos. Francisca enjoyed reading, praying and loved to do church work. She cherished her time volunteering at Lakeview Christian Nursing Home. Francisca was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jesse Franco. Survivors are her children: Alberto Prieto of Pecos, Texas, Julio Ramirez and wife, Christine of Texas City, Texas, Gloria Cabezuela and husband, Jose of Carlsbad, NM and Margarita Carrillo of Carlsbad, NM; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers: Ramon Franco and wife, Ysabela of Pecos, Texas, Martin Franco and wife, Maria of Pecos, Texas, Ventura Franco and wife, Amelia of San Maria, California; sister, Stephanie Franco of Firebaugh, California and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5:00 PM 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home followed by a vigil at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
