Francisca Rodriguez Fuentez, 81, of Haston Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2011 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, September 15, 2011, 2:00 PM, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3301 S. Canal Street with Roque Soltero and Joe Gomez officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Francisca Rodriguez Fuentez was born November 20, 1929 in Alpine, TX to George and Juliana (Dominguez) Rodriguez. She married Rosendo A. Fuentez on February 20, 1949 here in Carlsbad. In 1969 Rosendo and Francisca opened Carlsbad Radiator Service which they operated for 30 years until retiring. Francisca was baptized in 1962 in the Jehovah's Witnesses Congregation. She was able to serve as a regular pioneer since 2000 until her death. Francisca helped on numerous building projects for Kingdom Hall's throughout New Mexico and Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Adan Fuentez; seven brothers and five sisters. She is survived by her husband, Rosendo A. "Rosie" Fuentez of Carlsbad, NM; 8 children: Guadalupe Vasquez of Milwaukee, WI, Teresa Valenzuela and husband, Tony of Carlsbad, NM, Yolanda Villegas and husband, Jessie of Odessa, TX, Isabel Badillo and husband, J.B. of Odessa, TX, Rosendo Fuentes, Jr. and Corina Martinez of Carlsbad, NM; Eva Fuentez of Carlsbad, NM, Cecelia Hobbs and husband, Jack of Odessa, TX, Obed Fuentez and wife, Monica of Carlsbad, NM; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 4 sibilings: Josephine Lunquist of Kennedy, TX, Wille Rodriguez of Pecos, TX, Frederico Rodriguez of Monahans, TX, Maggie Dutchover of Alpine, TX and numerous neices, nephews and extended family. Pallbearers will be Jesse Villegas, Jr., Sabastian Villegas, Michael Harper, Nathan Harper, John Badillo, Jose Vasquez, Jeremy Fuentes and Brian Gordon.
