Francis F. Beeman, 92, of W. Ural Drive, Carlsbad, NM, passed away November 28, 2022 at his home.  Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Monday, December 5, 2022 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Carlsbad Cemetery with Pastor Daniel Armstrong officiating.

Francis was born September 17, 1930 in Carlsbad, NM to Frank and Inez (Hatfield) Beeman.  He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1948.  Francis married Bettye J. Bailey January 15, 1950 in Carlsbad.

He worked at Southwestern Public Service as a payroll clerk and attended night school to become a Registered Public Accountant.  Francis started his accounting business in his home office in Loving in the early 1960s and later obtained dual license as a Certified Public Accountant.  He joined Loving Rotary in 1952, serving as president in 1964.  Francis then joined Carlsbad Rotary in 1967 when he moved to Carlsbad and served as president from 1991 -1992 making him a Rotarian for 70 years.  He served on the board and as president of the New Mexico Society of Public Accountants, was a delegate to the National Society of Public Accountants and several committees.  He was also appointed by the Governor to serve on the NM State Accountancy Board.  Francis was instrumental in the establishment of Southeast New Mexico Community Action Corporation (Head Start program).  He was an active member of Loving Methodist Church and Epworth Methodist Church, serving as Lay Preacher, treasurer and several committees throughout the years.  Francis was known in the community as an honest, honorable and generous man who always had time to help others and supported his community without concern of any recognition.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bettye Beeman; brother, Joe H. Beeman, Bill Beeman and Mike Beeman.  Survivors are his daughter, Janet Beeman Janzen and husband, Jimmie; son, Rick Beeman and Jenny Wright; grandchildren: Jeffrey Healey, Jeremy Healey and wife, Richell; great-grandchildren: Melody Healey, Addison Healey, Hailey Healey, Heather McTurnan, Finnigan Healey, Makensie Healey and Benjamin Healey; sister, Patricia Allen; brother-in-law, John Bailey and wife, Barbara; sister-in-law, Sandra Bailey and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Rotary Charity Fund, c/o Carlsbad Community Foundation.
