Frances O. Myers, 83, of Bryan Circle, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Monday, October 22, 2012 at her home.
There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, October 27, 2012, 10:00 AM, at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Rick Carus officiating.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Frances O. Myers was born March 14, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to Charles Granville and Opal Frances (Jackson) Bosworth. She grew up in Kansas City with her grandmother because her mother died the day of Frances' birth. On May 29, 1948, she married John Thomas Myers in Kansas City. Frances worked as a legal secretary for 5 years before moving to Carlsbad in 1971 where she worked for IMC for 10 years. Frances was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed quilting, antique collecting, primarily glassware and she was an accomplished seamstress. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John Thomas Myers on August 31, 2002.
Survivors are three sons: Jim Myers of Carlsbad, NM, David Myers and wife, Joyce of South Hadley, Mass., Thomas Myers of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Cathy Hall and husband, Chuck of Lago Vista, TX; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Don Bosworth of Detroit, Michigan; sister, Char Follis of Detroit, Michigan.
