Florene Marie Kanto

Florene Marie Kanto, 93, of Valverde Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away May 14, 2014 at her home. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Florene Marie Kanto was born on January 17, 1921, in Agwan, Oklahoma to Albert Martin Lunsford and Eva Rasman Lunsford. They moved to Carlsbad, NM in January 1929. Florene was married to John Uno Kanto for 47 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John U. Kanto; son, John M. Kanto; brothers: JC Lunsford, Bob Lunsford, TJ Lunsford; sisters: Irene Gaines, Christine Clutts, Doris Goforth and June Burgin. Florene was survived by several nieces and nephews; BFF Trish Paslay and caregivers: Rosie Fierro and Julie Cheatham.
