Fay Ona Calk, 82, of S. 7th Street, Loving, NM, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at her home.
There will be no public visitation.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday, August 16, 2013, 9:00 AM, at Loving Baptist Church with Pastor Dick Means officiating.
Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Fay Ona Calk was born May 5, 1931 in Big Lake, Texas to Ben and Frances (Estep) Russell. She graduated from Big Lake High School and married Bobby Ray Calk on May 22, 1948. They moved to Loving in 1962. Fay Ona was very active in the community. She worked for Loving Schools as the cafeteria manager for many years. At the same time, she served as the Municipal Judge for over 16 years and was also an EMT. Fay Ona was a long-time member of the Loving Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kay Price; son, Bobby R. Calk, Jr.; four brothers and one sister.
Survivors are her husband, Bob Calk of Loving, NM; daughter, LaVaughn Holcomb and husband, Howard of Carlsbad, NM; son-in-law, Albert Price of Loving, NM; grandchildren: Shane McDonald and wife, Alyssa, Vance McDonald and wife, Billie, Tara Fierro and husband, Mike, A. J. Price, Kevin Price and Bobbie Calk; great-grandchildren: Savanna McDonald, Cody Briones, Autumn McDonald, Tayler Briones, Faith McDonald and Kaiden Carrasco and numerous nieces and nephews.
