Fabian S. Carrasco

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our son, brother, and uncle, Fabian S. Carrasco, 46, of Old Cavern Hwy, Carlsbad, NM, who went to be with our heavenly father Wednesday, March 5, 2014. Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Monday, March 10, 2014, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A vigil is scheduled for 7:00 PM, Monday, March 10, 2014, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Fabian S. Carrasco was born December 22, 1967 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Ruben Estrada Carrasco and Maria De Jesus (Salazar) Carrasco. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1985. In the early years, Fabian worked for Rojas, Safeway Grocery, Airport Transport and most recently CARC Farm. He loved music and working with those with disabilities. Fabian will be remembered for his musical voice and decorating abilities. During the past several years he compassionately devoted countless hours in caring for his mother. He was preceded in death by his father, Ruben Estrada Carrasco, Sr. Survivors are his mother, Maria Carrasco of Carlsbad, NM; sisters: Patricia Ann Rascon of Las Cruces, NM, Viola McCormick and husband, Jim of Las Cruces, NM; brothers: Philip Carrasco and wife, Juanita of Carlsbad, NM, Ruben Carrasco, Jr. of Carlsbad, NM; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Jim McCormick, Felipito Carrasco, Jr., Emery Carrasco, Eric Carrasco, Derek Carrasco, Anthony Olivas and Leroy Lopez. Honorary pallbearers are Jayce McCormick, Aubrey Carrasco and Jim McCormick, III. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
