Eva Hernandez Levario, 81, of Artesia, NM passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. Eva was born on December 21, 1941, in Tahoka, TX.
Cremation has taken place, and the family will have private services held at a later date. Interment will take place at the Woodbine Cemetery in Artesia, NM.
Eva married Mike Levario on January 30, 1990. Family was everything to her, and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Eva spent her career working as a nurse’s aide for many years, as well as helping her husband with their business, Levario Trucking. They would travel all over together, getting to explore as they went. She was a strong, confident, and spicey lady who always enjoyed getting to go shopping for shoes and purses with her daughters. She also enjoyed going antiquing and thrift shopping. Her kindness for others could be seen in her eagerness to always lend a helping hand. And she always had a soft spot in heart for her pet named Ivy. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
Eva was preceded in death by her mother, Carrie Thompson; son, Tony Vasquez, Sr.; and four siblings: Betty Hernandez, Linda Hernandez, Judy Hernandez, and Ernie Hernandez.
Eva is survived by her husband, Mike Levario of Artesia, NM; three daughters all of Artesia, NM: Barbara Ann Grice and husband, Charlie; Debbie Jimenez and husband, Daniel; and Cyndi Grado and husband, Frankie; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three siblings: Freddy Hernandez and wife, Loretta of Texas; Albert Hernandez of Roswell, NM; and Mary Uresti of Carlsbad, NM; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the loving and caring staff at Enhabit Hospice, especially to Jamie, Louisa, and Bonnie. Condolences may be expressed online at dentonwood.com
