Obituary Eugenia T. Santana, 89, of Utah Street Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019, at Carlsbad Medical Center surrounded by her family.Eugenia was born on November 15, 1929, in Ingacio Zaragoza, Chihuahua, Mexico to Elilario and Petra Tarango. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Vigil will be at 4:00 PM Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Interment will be at Carlsbad Cemetery new section. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of making arrangements. Eugenia was a great woman of strength and caring mother. She was a pillar in her family, and was loved dearly. Eugenia will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Eugenia was preceded in death by her first husband Alfredo Pina Chavarria, second husband Felix Santana, daughter Evangelina Torres, granddaughter Mary Eugenia Torres, grandson Armando A Torres,both parents, sister Aurora Tarango,brother Magarito Quintana,brothers: Magarito Quintana, Cesario Quintana, Maximliano Quintana, and Emiliano Quintana. Eugenia is survived by her seven children: daughter, Ernestina Pina Tarango of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Estela P. Salas of El Paso, TX; son, Manuel A. Pina of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Elsa Lozoya of Camargo, Mexico; daughter, Aurelia Torres of El Paso, TX; daughter, Mariela Martinez of Lubbock, TX; twelve grandchildren: Ernesto Lopez, Veronica A. Torres, Lorenza Torres, Manuel Pina, Jr., Miriam Pina, Edith Pina, Ericka Pina, Juilo Caesar Pina, Juan Daniel Lozoya, Vanessa Lozoya, Angel Torres, Jr., And Alejandro Torres; four great-grandchildren: Gabriella Martinez, Ericka Renata Molina, Arieynn Torres, and Avery Torres; six siblings: sister, Conception Grado of Zaragoza, Mexico; Maria de Jesus Cano of Parral, Mexico; Lucia Tarango of Parral, Mexico; brother, Florencio Quintana of Zaragoza, Mexico; Manuel Quintana of San Felipe, Mexico; and Elario Quintana of San Felipe Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews.
