Eugene Rodriguez, Jr.

Eugene Rodriguez, Jr., 52, of E. Orchard Lane, Carlsbad, NM, passed away June 30, 2021 at his home.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM, Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM followed by a vigil on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Interment will follow in Santa Catarina Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM.
Eugene was born June 28, 1969 in Carlsbad, NM to Eugene and Romie (Alvarado) Rodriguez, Sr and attended Carlsbad Schools. He loved cars and did body shop work for many years. Eugene also enjoyed cooking and bar-b-que. He cherished the time with his family, especially his grandchildren and all the kids in the family. Eugene was preceded in death by his grandparents: Jose and Refugia Alvarado and Cleto and Maria Rodriguez.
Survivors are his son, Zack Rodriguez and Marissa Hernandez; daughters: Sierra Rodriguez and Annalisa Rodriguez; twins: Eugene Ray Rodriguez, III and Victoria Rodriguez; grandchildren: Maliah Rodriguez and Zachary Rodriguez, Jr.; parents: Eugene and Romie Rodriguez; sisters: Shirley Lopez and husband, Alvino, Carla Rodriguez and Rico Morales and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Bricen Morales, Jesse Granado, Ruben Granado, Danny Rodriguez, Eugene Ray Rodriguez, III, Zack Rodriguez, Saul Palma and Marcus Rodriguez.
