Eugene "Gene" Gilmore, 90, of West Pierce Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Carlsbad Medical Center.
There will be no public visitation.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 24, 2015, 9:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dan Boyd officiating.
Interment will be at 3:00 PM (Central time), Friday, July 24, 2015 in Trinity Memorial Park, Big Spring, Texas.

Eugene "Gene" Gilmore was born January 26, 1925 in Granville, ND to Ernest Valentine and Golda Frances (Orndorf) Gilmore. After graduating from high school in North Dakota he served his country in the US Navy during WWII. Gene went to work for the Marine Corp as Civil Service in Barstow, CA. He married Claire Maybelle Walton on August 7, 1947. Gene then went to work for Lockheed in Redlands, CA as an electrician. He had the ability to always improve the efficiency in production. Gene also developed an electrical solenoid which earned him employee of the month. Later he transferred to Lockhead in Ontario, CA where he retired in 1986. Several years after Claire's passing, Gene married Lottie Arn and she passed away February 1999 in Big Spring, TX where they were residing. He married Naomi Creason December 1999 and he moved to Carlsbad in 2001. Gene was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Cavemen Sams. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Claire Gilmore; wife, Lottie Arn; two brothers; two sisters and two son-in-laws and a grandson.
Survivors are his wife, Naomi Creason of Carlsbad, NM; sons: Robert Gilmore and wife, Susan of Big Spring, TX, Thomas Gilmore of El Cahone, CA; daughters: Cynthia Church of Hemmitt, CA, Peggy Roeder of Tacoma, WA; step-daughters: Diana Levine of Shoteau of MT, Donna Haggard of Vancover, WA, Janie Dunlap and husband, Charlie of Carlsbad, NM, Judy Swearengen and husband, Jerry of Milan, MD; five stepsons; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Swearengen, Charlie Dunlap, Robert Gilmore, Tommy Gilmore, Robert Church and Albert Urban.
