Ethel Alice Britton Peeper went to heaven on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the age of 95.
There will be no visitation, cremation will take place.
Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Saturday, April 26, 2014, 2:00 PM, at St. Edward Catholic Church with Father Cyprial Uline, OFM, Conv. officiating.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Ethel Alice Britton Peeper was born on November 13, 1918, at home in Caddo County, Oklahoma. Her parents were Commie and Faye (Ellis ) Britton. She lived on their farm until she was married in 1936. Alice married William Theodore Peeper. They lived in Apache, Oklahoma where her husband Bill worked for his family's flour/feed mill. They moved to Climax, CO in 1956 and then to Leadville, CO. Alice lived in Leadville until she moved to Carlsbad to be closer to her family. Alice was a fabulous cook. Her rolls and fried chicken were the best. Each Christmas she baked cookies from the recipes that had been handed down from the German Peeper side of the family. She loved cooking special dinners to share with her family. Alice loved her family, especially her two granddaughters and her great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Theodore Peeper; son, William M. Peeper; and four brothers: Jim, Bob, Commie, Jr. and Billy Carroll.
Alice loved her caretakers and friends at Landsun.
Survivors are her daughter, Donna Adkins and husband, Frank of Magnolia, TX; son, Kenneth Peeper and wife, Joan of Carlsbad, NM; granddaughters: Dianna Herbst and her son, Maxx of Denver, CO, Keri Gilder and husband, Tyson and their children: Alexander and Samantha of London, UK and several nephews and nieces.
