Ernest L. Crowley

Ernest L. Crowley, 82, of Leavell Drive, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away September 28, 2009 at his home. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, September 30, 2009, 11:00 AM, at Blodgett Street Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico with Pastor David Prell officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Ernest L. Crowley was born February 10, 1927 in Quail, TX to John William and Myrtle Jewel (Stallings) Crowley. He graduated from high school in Melrose, NM. Ernest served his country in the US Army. He married Daisy Wyatt June 17, 1946 in St. Vrain, NM. They moved to Carlsbad in 1953 and at that time Ernest began his 33-year career at AMAX. He was a long time member of Blodgett Street Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James R. Crowley and sister, Effie Terrell. Survivors are his wife, Daisy Crowley of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Cynthia "Sandy" Guest and husband, Michael of Albuquerque, NM; three sons: Ernest R. Crowley and wife, Rhadonna of Albuquerque, NM, Terry Crowley and wife, Susan of Amarillo, TX, Brian Crowley and wife, Janet of Brookfield, WI; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and sister, Ina Miller of Logan, NM. Pallbearers will be Ernest R. Crowley, Terry Crowley, Brian Crowley, Greg Crowley, Jeffrey Guest, Michael Guest.
