Obituary Erik Baby Navarrette, 20, of S. Cypress Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away August 21, 2019. Visitation will be 3:00 PM -5:00 PM, Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A vigil is scheduled for 7 PM, Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at San Jose Catholic Church. Liturgy of the Word service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 29, 2019 at San Jose Catholic Church with Deacon Tony Dominguez officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Erik was born October 5, 1998 in Carlsbad, NM to Lonnie Murillo and Lupe (Gonzales) Navarrette. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 2018. Baby was currently working for D & D Pipeline. He was an avid Broncos fan and loved spoiling his nieces and nephews, and spending time with his dog, Tyson. Baby was known for his infectious smile and will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie M. Navarrette and uncle, LeRoy Navarrette. Survivors are his mother, Lupe Navarrette of Carlsbad, NM; brothers: Lionel Navarrette, Daniel Navarrette and wife, Melanie, Aaron Navarrette; maternal grandparents: Ramon and Emma Gonzales; paternal grandparents: Alonso and Jessie Navarrette; nieces: Mariana and Audriana; nephews: Larry and Mauricio; cousin, Jelly Red Navarrette and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and family. Pallbearers will be Lionel Navarrette, Daniel Navarrette, Aaron Navarrette, Casey Navarrette, Diego Adame and Nate Crittendon.
