Eric Raymond Stephens

Eric Raymond Stephens, 55, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 25, 2011. A private family interment will take place at the First Presbyterian Church Collumbarium and there will be no public services. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Eric was born March 22, 1956 to Raymond and Marie Stephens. He graduated Carlsbad High School in 1974 and Eastern New Mexico University with a BBA in 1978. He enlisted in the United States Army where he received an honorable discharge. He went to work for Transamerica Insurance Company and American States Insurance Company as an underwriter, he then became an insurance adjuster for American States Insurance Company and General Adjustment Bureau. Eric worked many catastrophic losses such as the ones our Nation is experiencing in the Midwest today. He moved back home in 1998 to help take care of his mom and dad until his death. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Stephens and both sets of grandparents. Survivors include his father, Ray Stephens; two brothers: Craig R. Stephens, Timothy C. Stephens; two sisters-in-law: Sheri Stephens and Johnna Stephens; four nephews: Chris R. Stephens, Ryan Stephens, Parker Stephens and Chris Pulice; two nieces: Chrystal Pulice, Jessica Stephens; three great-nephews: Aidan Stephens, Chris S. Stephens, Carter Pulice and great-niece, Cadie Stephens.
