Enrique "Henry" Gonzalez, 68, former resident, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 in Denver, Colorado.
There will be no visitation; cremation has taken place.
A vigil is scheduled for Saturday, October 1, 2016, 10:00 AM, at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow vigil with Fr. Martin Cordero officiating.
Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Enrique "Henry" Gonzalez was born October 8, 1947, in Hamlin, Texas to Guillermo and Sara (Macias) Gonzalez. He moved to Carlsbad with his parents and graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1967. Henry attended NMSU several years and then later moved to Denver where he made his home. He worked for Dow Chemical over 30 years before retiring a few years ago. Henry enjoyed reading, traveling, talking about history and debating politics. For those who met Henry for the first time, it was as if they were talking to an old friend. He was known for his contagious laugh, smile and beyond all unforgettable personality. Henry was preceded in death by his mother, Sara Gonzalez and grandparents.
Survivors are his father, Guillermo Gonzalez of Carlsbad, NM; sister, Celia Hernandez and husband, Richard of Carlsbad, NM; brother, Gilbert Gonzalez and wife, Debbie of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Elva Gonzalez of Carlsbad, NM; nieces: Elena Ramirez-Doporto and Jessica Gonzalez; nephews: Larry Hernandez and Michael Hernandez and numerous great-nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
