Ethel Cassady

Emma Ethel Cassady was born September 23,1933 to Robert and Vearl May in Hollis, Oklahoma. She went to be with our Lord Jesus on March 22, 2025.

Cremation has taken place.

Emma Ethel lived in several towns as her father traveled to many areas where the jobs were and his family went with him. When they all moved to Socorro, NM, Emma Ethel had everyone calling her Ethel so I will call her Ethel now.

Ethel met Bill Cassady and they fell in love. They got married August 27, 1953. They had two children Larry and Laura.

Ethel was a member of the First Baptist Church in Socorro, NM. Every night she prayed with Bill and her children. Ethel was a Christian and passed on Christianity to her family.

Ethel became a professional all breed groomer. She was so good at her profession people from as far away to California came to have her groom their dogs. Ethel was invited to all the big dog shows in the United States. She was written up in a professional dog grooming book and they have a picture of her grooming in it.

Ethel loved to sew and she made all her clothing and her children’s clothing for years. She went into making dresses and shirts that were sold in Boutiques in Ruidoso, NM.

Ethel did not stop grooming while she sewed. Sewing was a hobby she enjoyed. And Dancing with Bill was a joy. They both went to Arthur Murray Dance Studio Ball Room dancing. Ethel was beautiful out there dancing with Bill.
