Emilio R. Villa, 81, of Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016, at his home.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 19, 2016 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Roque Soltero Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Santa Catarina Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM.
Emilio R. Villa was born August 10, 1935 in Otis, NM, to Martin and Cruz (Holguin) Villa. He attended school in Loving, NM and began farming with his father at an early age. Emilio married Pauline Franco May 18, 1963 in Carlsbad. He eventually acquired his own farms and spent a large part of his life farming and ranching. Emilio also owned & operated Villa's Autos Equipment & Auction Co. He loved buying and selling, and couldn't resist "a good deal." He loved horses, listening to country music, and dancing. Most of all he loved getting together with family and friends. He always had a smile on his face. He was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Congregation.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Pauline; and three brothers; Jose, Valentine, and Juan Villa.
Survivors include his four children, son Danny Villa of Bakersfield, CA; daughters, Emily V. Rogers and husband Dorsey of Carlsbad; Beverly Richardson and husband Mathew of Albuquerque NM; Valerie Jacks and husband William II of Carlsbad NM; seven grandsons, Joel Flores and Eric Flores, both of Carlsbad, NM; Jeromie Villa and Brandon Villa, both of Bakersfield, CA; Bryce Richardson and Thomas Richardson, both of Albuquerque NM; Jaydin Davis of Carlsbad, NM; four granddaughters, Rose Flores of Carlsbad, NM; Ashlyn Davis of Albuquerque NM; Kirstyn Villa Guevara of Carlsbad NM; Mallorie Villa of Bakersfield CA; one great granddaughter; Nevaeh Rose Vasquez; two brothers Manuel Villa and Martin Jr Villa; six sisters Virginia Leyva, Lorenza Jordan, Feliciana Ybarra, Inez Quintela, and Mereghilda Ramirez all of Carlsbad, NM, Velia Estrada of Albuquerque, NM; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Joel Flores, Eric Flores, Brandon Villa, Bryce Richardson, Jaydin Davis, and Thomas Richardson. Honorary Pallbearers are Jeromie Villa, Martin Jr. Villa, Manuel Villa, Mathew Richardson, William Jacks II, and Dorsey Rogers.
