Obituary Elvira N. Franco, 92, of Westridge Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 at Landsun Homes. A vigil is scheduled for 7:00 PM, Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 AM, Thursday, October 4, 2018 at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Martin Cordero officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Elvira was born November 19, 1925 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Guillermo and Rafaela (Navarette) Franco. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Eva Franco and Micaela Garcia; brothers: Frank N. Franco, Gustavo N. Franco, Socorro N. Franco and Filiberto N. Franco. Survivors are her caregiver and nieces, Sally Methola and husband, Richard of Carlsbad, NM; sister, Elisa Gomez of Carlsbad, NM; brothers: Lorenzo Franco and wife, Mari Eugenia, Trinidad Franco, Dolores Lolo Franco and wife, Ophelia, all of El Paso, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
