Elsie F. Hines

Elsie F. Hines, 93, of Westridge Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away May 23, 2010 at Landsun Health Services. Cremation has taken place and interment of cremated remains will take place at First United Methodist Church Columbarium. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Elsie F. Hines was born November 25, 1916 in Germano, Ohio to Charles Cleveland and Annie Laurie (McKee) Lowmiller. Elsie graduated from high school in Ohio where she was Valedictorian of her class. She married Herman J. Hines on June 24, 1936 in Pennsylvania. Elsie and Herman lived in Cleveland many years and moved to Rio Rancho, NM in 1971, relocating to Carlsbad in 1990. While in Rio Rancho she was a charter member of the Turquoise Chapter of the Order of Easter Star, #71 and was Past Matron. She was later a member of the Artesia Chapter #18 and First United Methodist Church. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman J. Hines; son, Harold K.
