We honor and celebrate the life of a truly remarkable woman—Elsa Rodriguez. A woman who poured herself out, day after day, as a vessel of honor. A Godly woman in every sense—kind, generous, and endlessly full of love.
Elsa was a New Year baby born on January 1, 1957, and on April 5, 2025, she received her halo and wings. While our hearts are heavy with her loss, we are here not only to grieve—but to remember to smile, to laugh, and to give thanks for every beautiful moment we were blessed enough to share with her.
Elsa was many things—funny, loving, selfless, and absolutely full of life. Her smile? Unforgettable. It was big, beautiful, and contagious. She laughed easily and often, and when she did—you couldn’t help but laugh with her. She had this incredible ability to light up a room without even trying. She never walked into a room, she DANCED into it!
She opened her heart and her home to everyone. Family, friends, neighbors—if you needed a place to be, Elsa made you feel welcome. She didn’t just love her family she lived for them. Her daughter Ricca, her son-in-law Mark, her grandchildren Evan, Kylianah, and Dallas were all her world. Elsa was also theirs. She loved being a grandmother, a mother, a sister, a daughter—and she gave herself fully to those roles.
Elsa is survived by a beautiful, strong family—her mother Carolina, her sisters Dora, Monica, Patricia, and Anna, her brothers Trine, Arturo, Kenny, Cornelio, and Frank. She also leaves behind a huge, loving circle of nieces, nephews, and friends who became family. If Elsa knew you, she loved you—and you knew it.
One of the sweetest parts of Elsa’s day was when she got home from work. She’d walk across the street with an unopened Bud Light and a cigarette in hand, and sit with her mom. But not before handing her mom that first sip of beer, it was their sacred little ritual! Mother and daughter, just being present, enjoying each other’s company. That was Elsa. Finding beauty in the simple, everyday moments.
She was also an amazing cook. If you ever had her tamales, you know exactly what I mean! Elsa made sure every gathering was full of warmth, flavor, and joy. Her food wasn’t just delicious, it was a reflection of her heart. Cooking was how she showed love and she showed a lot of love!
But what made Elsa truly unforgettable was her spirit. She was deeply selfless, always stepping in to help others. She gave her time, her energy, her attention, her laughter. Without ever asking for anything in return. She had this way of making you feel like the most important person in the world. Whether she was sharing stories from her childhood, dancing to her favorite music, or just sitting with you, she made every moment feel like a gift.
And now, those little moments mean everything.
Elsa was the biggest presence in every room, with the most beautiful soul. And we all knew, deep down, that we were in the presence of something rare. She was, without a doubt, a gift from God.
Though she has left this world, her spirit is still with us—in every laugh, every recipe passed down, every song that reminds us of her, every act of love and kindness we carry forward in Elsa’s name. She was preceded in death by her father, Trine Rodriquez, and daughter, Lena Corrine Rodriquez.
Thank you, Elsa, for pouring yourself out so generously, for loving so fiercely, and for reminding us how beautiful life can be.
We love you. We honor you. And we will never forget you.
