Elpidio "Piri" Pando, 53, of Odessa, Texas, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015 in Andrews, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, February 5, 2015, 10:00 AM, at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Fabian Marquez and Fr. Martin Cordero officiating. Interment will take place Friday, February 6, 2015, 10:00 AM, in Ector County Cemetery, Odessa, Texas. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Elpidio "Piri" Pando was born February 16, 1961 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico to Guillermo and Elva (Garcia) Pando. He married Yolanda Rascon June 19, 1986 in Odessa, Texas. Piri liked to sing and always sang "Mujeres Divinas". He was a very romantic and loving husband. Piri was preceded in death by his father, Guillermo Pando and sister, Lucia Acosta Pando. Survivors are his wife, Yolanda Pando of Odessa, Texas; daughter, Cristian Sanchez and husband, Erick of Odessa, Texas; sons: David Pando and wife, Denise of Odessa, Texas, Felix Pando of Odessa, Texas; granddaughter, Shannelle Sanchez of Odessa, Texas; great-grandson, Erick Sanchez of Odessa, Texas; mother, Elva Garcia Pando of Presidio, Texas; siblings: Elsa Garcia Pando of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, Jesus Guillermo Pando of Lubbock, Texas, Maria Meneces Pando of Presidio, Texas, Ana Gallardo Pando of Kermit, TX, Alma R. Aranda Pando of Presidio, TX, Carolina Pando of Mexico, D.F., Jorge A. Pando of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, Patricia McElwin Pando of Uvalde, Texas and many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
