Elizabeth G. Thomas

Elizabeth G. Thomas, 75, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away December 23, 2024 at Goodlife Assisted Living. Cremation has taken place and interment will be next to her son, Adam, at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Albuquerque, NM.

Elizabeth was born March 30, 1949 in Clovis, NM to Lewis and Billie (Bowles) Thomas. She received a master’s degree in library science from Eastern New Mexico State University. Elizabeth spent 12 years at the medical library in Kuwait. She returned to New Mexico and worked as a librarian for the Carlsbad Municipal School District, retiring after 41 years of service. Elizabeth volunteered at Grace House and worked as a research librarian for Carlsbad Public Library during her retirement years. She was preceded in death by her parents: Dr. Lewis H. and Billie Thomas; son, Adam Murshed; brothers: Lewis and John P. Thomas.
